5 Hair Fall Prevention Tips

Hair Fall Prevention Tips

With so much pollution around us, hair fall has become one of the major concerns of people. It has become a common problem worldwide, affecting more than one-third of the global population. Everyone loses about 100 strands of hair each day. However, when hair growth slows down, the problem of hair fall becomes evident. There can be various reasons for rapid hair fall, such as medications, too much exposure to chemical hair treatments, an unbalanced diet, genetics, and stress. To help you deal with the problem, we have enlisted four hair fall prevention tips below:

Use a mild shampoo for cleansing your scalp. It would be best to keep your scalp clean and hence you must shampoo your hair regularly, at least twice a week. On days when you have travelled all through, make sure to shampoo your hair as soon as you come home. Doing so prevents the risk of infections and dandruff, thus controlling hair fall and hair damage. Make sure the shampoo you use is mild and free of paraben and sulphates. Also, while choosing a shampoo, make sure it’s a specifically designed shampoo for hair fall

  • Apply onion juice

Onion contains sulphur, helping you fight against hair loss and promote blood circulation to the hair follicles. Onion juice also revives hair follicles and reduces inflammation. It has antibacterial properties, meaning it kills germs that might otherwise have led to scalp infection and consequent hair loss.

  • Vitamin for hair loss

Hair serums are rich in essential vitamins. You can intake food rich in vitamins as they are good for your body and your overall health. Vitamin promotes healthy production of sebum in your scalp. Vitamin B essentially helps your hair retain its natural colour, while vitamin E ensures proper blood circulation.

  • Apply Aloe vera

Aloe vera is another essential product that is good for one’s skin as well as hair. It is an excellent promoter of hair growth. Besides applying it to your scalp, you can regularly take one teaspoon of aloe vera on an empty stomach to get evident results. Aloe vera helps eliminate dead cells from your scalp, which might clog the hair roots, preventing further hair growth. Keeping the scalp and hair roots free from dirt and dust ensures uninterrupted healthy growth of hair. Besides, it also has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that resist the growth of bacteria and keeps the scalp cool. It also restores your scalp’s pH balance, which indirectly fosters hair growth. Aloe vera, when mixed with essential oils and applied onto the scalp, can promote blood circulation.

  • Scalp massage with essential oils

If you are experiencing hair fall for quite some time now, you must apply warm essential oils and massage your scalp. It helps your hair follicles to remain active. Also, remember not to comb hair when it’s wet. When it’s wet, it’s in a weak state. This means combing can cause hair loss excessively. However, if you have to comb it, use a wide-toothed comb.

Besides following the tips mentioned above, you also have to check your daily lifestyle. Avoid drinking alcohol or smoking if you are addicted to these activities. Indulge in doing physical exercises. You can go for a walk or swimming or cycling to reduce stress.
