MHTCT or as the students call it Maharashtra Common Entrance Test is a state-based engineering test of Maharashtra that is conducted annually by the Directorate of Technical Education. In this examination, 50% weightage is given to the class 12th score while the other 50% weightage is given to the score obtained in the entrance test. Once the examination is completed the students are called for the counseling session where they are allotted colleges based on their scores.
